Playing with Ashley

Wow... what a fun and busy day. The boys spent the night last night at Mormor's house and woke up to spend the morning with her. Then Great Aunt Melanie and Marmee's cousin Ashley came to pick them up. They took a trip down to Harriet Island for a picnic with a lot of 2nd cousins. A special picnic in honor of Ashley visiting from Washington. This photo would technically be of first cousins, second cousins and first cousins once removed (which is a bit too confusing so we just call everyone cousin!):

After a picnic lunch (where I finally joined the party) we explored the island a bit and found some playgrounds to play at. Including swing sets which are always a big favorite of Lucius.

It was hot and sunny on the playground, so we weren't there long before it was time to go. We invited ourselves over to Great Aunt Mary's house to go swimming in her pool. Mighty fun- Oliver was swimming around the pool in a life jacket trying to keep up with Jocelyn and Alyssa (the second cousins). When the swimming got old the boys jumped on the trampoline for a while. Needless to say it was a fun busy day. Five minutes after I put the boys to bed they were out cold. Thanks everyone for a wonderful day! It was nice to see you Ashley- it's been too long.
