family adventure day: two different falls

The boys have really enjoyed and looked forward to our family adventure days. We took a drove to Taylors Falls this morning. We made a stop at a little bakery in Marine on st. croix for a light snack. The bakery was pretty cute with a fun bike ceiling and an Oliver avenue sign.

Daddy loves tickling the boys, which is one thing they can't get enough of.

Then it was off to Taylors Falls to hike, more like climb all over the rocks. My little explorers with binoculars and all! We had a blast exploring the rocks, although slightly un-nerving when minor slips happened or when inching to close to the edge of bluffs.

Next, it was lunchtime at a little pizza shop in Taylors Falls. We had slices of pizza bigger than the boys heads, with a little liquid sugar- which they never get and were all too excited to be having. We took a very small detour on the drive home to stop in Osceola, WI to see the Cascade Falls. It was a long stairway down to a lovely water fall. Next time we go we'll be bringing a change of clothes to really explore and get wet in the falls. Another wonderful Family adventure day!
