Oliver started swimming lessons last week. It was monday- thursday for two weeks. He had starting asking me this summer if I could teach him how to swim under water. I didn't feel like I could, cause him going under water with his mouth open all the time freaks me out! Well, I signed him up for the beginner One class through the red cross and he LOVED it. His teacher was pretty good and all the things they taught him really blew me away. He's going underwater, holding his breathe, floating on his back (he's actually really good at that thanks to Auntie Mick's lessons earlier in his life), and floating on his front.
It's been fun to see him progress and now he's almost swimming on his own. He's much more confident in water where he can still touch the bottom, but I love that he's willing to try.
Meanwhile, Lucius and I sat in the balcony and watched Oliver for the 45 minutes they were in the pool. Some days Lucius would take pictures, others he'd remind me to take pictures, a few days he played with toys he'd brought along and some times he'd just be bored.
