Lucius has been terrified wind, rain,
dark clouds, thunder and lighting (though those not as much), and
tornados. I
HATE that I have no idea how to help him with his fears. Poor guy. The weather pretty much had him fearful all day. It was cloudy but didn't look like it was going to rain, so we went out one Monday evening to watch a parade. We got there early to get good seats, and save some for our friends. Lucius and Oliver both ate their dinner while we waited.
Then Lucius started watching the skies. IT was going okay until the parade started. The skies darken and then the wind picked up. Lucius was scared stiff and cried for 15 minutes as we all tried to decide weather to leave or wait it out. Then the police came over the bull horns and told everyone the parade was canceled due to severe weather. That's the minute Lucius started running for the car with the lawn chair over his shoulder. HE was a man on a mission and quite ready to high tail it home. I stopped him, carried the chair for him and held his hand back to the car. Once their he calmed down a little bit and asked me if I knew what a ditch was "cause that's where we go if there's a tornado coming."
We were home in five minutes and made it before a brief rain storm came through. It was over in twenty minutes, but my baby was still scared and nervous. I wish I could help him more because I hate seeing him like this.
