Pumpkin Patch Field Trip...

Oliver's first grade class had a field trip to a pumpkin patch. I left Lucius at home with Daddy and drove up to meet them at the farm. We saw animals, played in a corn pit, climbed on hay bales, ate lunch and then took a wagon ride.

The tractor pulled the wagons to the pumpkin patch. Once there the farmer told everyone they could pick any pumpkin they wanted, as long as they could carry it without any help.  Most of the boys seemed to take that as a challenge, Oliver included. He walked past several smaller pumpkins to find one "just the right size". Finally he found it and managed to carry it back to the wagon.

After everyone got their pumpkins, the tractor took all the kids back to their bus to return to school. It was a pretty fun day spent with Oliver.
