Wadding Pool...

On Monday the boys and I took a bike ride to a Wadding Pool. The bike ride was about 2.9 miles, a little less than going to the library. Plus it's a mostly flat ride with very wide bike trails. Of course when we arrived the pool was closed and said it didn't open till the afternoon. BUMMER.

The boys weren't phased at all, they saw the playground nearby and off they went to slide and play. Then we happened to spot a park ranger guy in the pool. Oliver raced over to ask if he could swim- knowing that he might say no. The man said- sure come on in. I guess my "never hurts to ask" statement right before we asked was a good teachable moment. Hooray for good timing.

We had the pool to ourselves for a little while and it turned into a pretty fun trip.

Biking home Lucius was tired, whiny and wouldn't go on. Thankfully I had brought the Burley with to carry our towels and swimsuits. I put Lucius in and strapped his bike to the back of the bike trailer and we made it home in no time.
