Well it's official: Two big boy beds

Since it's now illegal to "sell" our front drop side crib, I posted it on a needs board at our church. I wasn't quite sure I was ready to jump Lucius into a real bed not contained by rails. I thought it might be a while before someone wanted to take our crib. But right away I was contacted by a family who had lost everything in a fire this summer. They have an 8 week old baby who could really use a new bed.

Click here to see how the room used to look with the crib.

I do so love to help people, sometimes to a fault but this felt really right. SO this weekend I took the crib apart and moved Lucius under Oliver's loft bed. I hope to make a little platform bed frame eventually.  For now it works out perfectly because there's only an inch or two drop from the mattress to the floor. Of course last night- the first night without the crib Oliver wanted to sleep in his brothers new bed with him. I let them for a while- it was like a big slumber party and no one was sleeping. They were eventually separated for their parents sanity. This is how I found Lucius when I went to bed later that night.
