a two year old says

There were two items on the floor at Mormor's house, a blue train and a pink washtub. Daddy asked Oliver what the blue toy was several times. "what's the new blue toy?" "right behind you, the blue toy, what is that?" He obviously wasn't seeing the train behind him so finally Oliver picked up the washtub and said "It's Pink!" then turned and left the room. Duh dad.

I asked Oliver if he had finished cleaning up his toys. As he walked past he said "Um, I didn't".

At nap time, we headed upstairs to Oliver's room. On the staircase he yelled down "bye-bye Lucius...see you later...going upstairs take a nap"

Lately Oliver has been sneaking the word "actually" into a majority of his sentences, and surprisingly using the word correctly (for the most part). He sounds so grown up. I love him so much.

A side note:
Let me just say some days are harder juggling two kids than other days. There's times I actually try to ignore my own kids so I can do something on my own (I'll admit it, though it doesn't make me proud). Yesterday, when Oliver and I spent the day talking about making a mess and then truly doing it was some of the best times. I really need to remember to forget my "neat freak personality" more often, to not think about a spill here or cleaning up there. It's a fantastic feeling to abandon my self reservations and be more of a free spirit (something I rarely consider doing). But I'm making it a point to make more messes and enjoy the freedom of being silly, quirky and awkward- knowing these days will fly by all too quickly.
