The last two days

The little misters and I have been hanging out at Auntie Mick's house the last couple of days. Oliver helped with yard work that was on Mick's "to do" list.

Lucius figured out how to get up on his elbows and knees while holding his head upright. That was the first time I saw him do that, usually his forehead remains on the floor. I saw him up on his hands and knees this morning and he was rocking back and forth. It's insane how fast he's growing up!



Today, we walked to the grocery store. Lucius and Oliver shared the single stroller. Lucius needed a place to put his feet so he wasn't kicking Oliver in the back (which Oliver found to be rather annoying for some strange reason). So we reorganized and put his little toes under Oliver's armpits. Silly guys.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Today is Daddy's birthday. He wanted to take a family trip to the Zoo. Oliver LOVES to see all the animals. Lucius attempted to see a few animals but only really caught a glimpse of the penguins.

Before leaving the ZOO Oliver wanted to buy Daddy a ride on the carousel. Lucius and I sat on the sidelines- soon enough we'll all be riding together. Till then we enjoyed seeing the smiles on the bigger boys faces.

It was kind of hot out this afternoon, so we broke out our new outdoor toy. This crazy rope sprinkler was quite the hit. I remember spending hours outside playing in the water, hopefully we'll get a lot of use out of this toy. Plus, we don't have air conditioning- so I'm excited to be able to go out and cool off while having fun with Little Man!!

Swimming pool

It was raining out and we were just silly enough to PAY to go swimming. Three adults with three young kids and I think we might have still been two hands short. But it was a very fun afternoon with Auntie Mick and Auntie Em came with Brianna. All 3 kids went under water at least a couple of times. It's a little scary to let my little misters go under water but I think it's a good learning experience for me and them.

Brothers take two

Oliver has been an excellent big brother the last couple of days. It's been super fun to see the boys interact together. Oliver decided he wanted to read books with Lucius this afternoon. When they weren't reading together, Oliver wanted to hold or be next to Lucius.

Brothers

I was getting Lucius out of his jumper this morning and Oliver said "oh, I'll take him". He had his arms outstretched and was readily awaiting me to hand off his brother. How could I refuse, so cute. Have you noticed that Lucius seems to be growing at such a rapid speed that he might soon be wearing the same size as Oliver?
