Auntie Mick found us a discount day at a fun indoor pool. SO the little misters and there cousins all met up for a fun swim day.

Oliver cooking
Oliver takes after his daddy and LOVES to cook. One evening before the move Daddy helped Oliver make tacos for dinner (a meal that the little misters ask for a LOT!)
He lights up when he's able to help us do things and cooking is one of his favorite things to help with. He actually has a really good palette for a almost five year old, loves tasting all kinds of foods lately as well. The boy is hooked on looking through cookbooks and finding new "ingredients" (he means recipes but more often than not says "ingredients" in place of "recipes").
How can he be almost five?? When did he get big enough to stir hamburger over an open fire?

The Big Move
We are now completely out of our old house, still rearranging the new one. As many of the boxes will remain boxed for now, its a matter of finding space to store a bunch of stuff, rather than unpack. There were a LOT of trips like this one from the old to the new:
We moved the bulk of our big furniture this weekend with the help of friends and family. Huge thanks to my father-in-law for bringing his truck and enclosed trailer to fill! Its amazing how much stuff we had even though we live pretty minimally.
While we moved, boys boys took an adventure with Great Aunt Melanie. She took them for the whole afternoon and I heard they talked her ears off. I'm convinced they had a blast and moving would probably not gone as smoothly with the little misters around.
We are currently living in my parents lower level (thanks mom & dad!). We've been trying to help the boys make sense of the situation by calling it the "downstairs house" and Mormor lives in the "upstairs house". Oliver was a little disappointed Mormor didn't have a secret staircase that lead to an underground house we could live in but he's adjusting surprisingly well.
The Little misters and I went over to say our goodbye to the "Ten ninety eight House" (aka our old house) this afternoon. I selfishly wanted to see it one last time and I thought Oliver might want to make sure we didn't forget anything (cause he tends to worry about... well everything). We walked into the front door of the now empty house and Oliver gasped. They started running through all the rooms and viewing them with wonder at them being so bare of the things that used to live there. They ran the loop around the main floor one last time.
After a quick check and cleaning we walked out with the last of the boxes and a handful of misc toys that had been lost but now found. Two Hotwheel cars, four lego pieces, a block, a tiny squishy car, an acorn, misc 'O', and a penny (not pictured). Thank goodness of last minute cleaning.
I personally am feeling a bit bittersweet about the process. I moved in nine years and two months ago. A LOT has happened in that time. The 1098 house was home to my sister and then cousin before I met my husband. He proposed in that house and we married, moved in together, had a few career changes and a couple of kids. Now I look to the future and am excited for what may come. Goodbye dear first home, may you bring joy to those who come after! You have served us well.

More Misc Photos and a Video
The other Day a mom of Oliver's classmate invited us over for a play date. The little misters and had lunch at their house. Afterward we headed out to their back yard where the mom had put big cardboard flatten boxes on their hill to make a super fun slide. The boys all played on it for over an hour. Now I wish we had a hill and some cardboard... it was TOTALLY fun.
Last week we were at Auntie Em's house playing and the boys found enough fairy wings to go around.
We were at Mormor and Morfar's house this weekend. The Little Misters were "helping" Morfar rake the leaves in his front yard. Of course they got a bit distracted once the pile got big enough to jump in.
Leaf fight!!!

Themed Halloween Costumes
This year's cousins costume theme was "Peter Pan". My little misters were the pirates, aka Captain Hook and his first mate Mr. Smee.
Cousin Casen was the main character Peter Pan who never wants to grow up.
Cousin Brianna was Tinker Bell the fairy. Her younger Brother Carl was the Crocodile, complete with ticking clock treat bucket.
The whole Gang all dressed up and ready for adventures...
Auntie Laura and Eme worked on the Tinker Bell and Crocodile costumes. I made the little misters pirate coats. Auntie mick bought the green felt and I threw together the Peter Pan costume. Super fun doing a theme, weather or not we all trick or treat together. I heard cousin Danya and new baby cousin Katriel were Wendy & Tiger Lily. Fun.

Misc phone photos & videos
I've been taking a lot of photos with my phone lately because I haven't had my camera's in arms reach.
Here's a few random Marmee and little mister photos:
I love how these two love reading together using their tag pen books. We only have one tag pen, but they've never fought too much about it- they actually sit and read. Sometimes they help each other out by pointing to different things on the pages. It's pretty cute when they get along!
Lucius was pretty tired the other day, he asked to cuddle with me. He rested his head on my shoulder while waiting for me to finish something. Slowly I heard his breathing deepen. His last words to me were "no, me not tired" when I asked him if he wanted to take a nap. Too cute.
I couple of weeks ago- maybe close to three weeks already, the boys went with me to my best friends house. We were all going to get hair cuts. I usually cut their hair but thought Jill could do a much nicer job than I typically do. So cute- she gave them awesome haircuts and when they were done she gave them spiky hair too. Made their day!
AND here's even more photos of me and the boys at the children's museum. Just a fun last minute adventure.
I have more photos and even videos... but I'll post those later.
