Helping Mormor

Oliver went over last friday to help Mormor Decorate for Christmas. He was very curious to search thru all her christmas boxes to see everything Glorious about the season. There were plenty of Santas and lights. His favorite was a string of bells, that Mormor eventually used to decorate Olivers Push toy.

Maybe we can convince Mormor to share her thoughts and memories of the evening?

Copying the King of the mountain

I started copying Oliver and he thought it was funny.

I stuck one of his toys in my mouth, the same way he usually has a toy in his own teeth.

Oliver also started climbing on this stack of pillows in his room. There's usually a bunch of toys piled on it. He likes to play what I would consider "King of the mountain". He climbs up and throws all the toys off. At times he finds it necessary to reach down, pick them up just so he can toss it over again. What fun!

Breaking News

We have an unconfirmed report of word usage by a certain animal loving boy.

With all the dog loving people in Olivers life and having a dog that just happens to be the funnest toy ever, it's no wonder Daddy heard Oliver say "doggy" today.

Sources, who shall be trusted for the time being, tell me that Oliver crawled right up to Copper (the aforementioned dog) and said "doggy". I usually call the dog a "dog" and not "doggy" but Daddy spends more time with Oliver during the day, maybe he uses "doggy" more often when talking about Copper.

"A day in the Life of an Elf"

A very fitting Macy's Display this year. We took our own little Elf to see how Santa's helpers prepare for Christmas.

Oliver was awe struck at the decorations and the people.

Santa allowed us to view all the elves hard at work making all the toys that will be delivered Christmas morning.

Don't worry Oliver, I'm sure you'll receive more than just coal this year. Santa probably reads blogs in this day and age and has already received your Christmas letter!

Saturday at Auntie Em's

Auntie Em kindly offered to watch Oliver most of Saturday. I tagged along. While they were playing and racing from the East wing to the West- I merely sat and worked on a quilt. Don't tell Oliver but I think it's going to be his Christmas present. (I believe with a little more work I can finish it on time.) I call it a "This and That" Quilt. Here: Take a sneak peak...

I have no pictures because I was hard at work but hopefully Auntie Em will share a few of the many she took!

I'm so grateful to have family who love playing and watching Oliver. He's a lucky kid to have so many aunts and uncles.

Winter Bazaar

~Ta Da~

Just a quick note: Tonight was my company's Winter Bazaar. Michelle was the table designer and it looked fantastically professional-ish. A lot of hard work and it's all over for now. I sold a lot but still have a great bunch of cards. It'll be nice to have them on hand.

Super Sweet Clear Acrylic Card

(Anyone who might want to peruse my stash- we can defiantly work something out!)

Torpedo

Olivers having tons of fun flying around the house. He's figured out how to shift the walker to point in any direction he wants to go. It's fun to watch his new adventures.

Ps. Thanks to Daddy and Auntie Dana's intensive "climbing down the stairs backward" class this past weekend, I witnessed Oliver climb down his first stair. It was exactly the way he'd been taught!
