Just cause Lucius is kind of a rock star of a kid and doesn't always get enough of the attention...
Here's a few fun Summertime photos of Lucius enjoying his best life!
And here is a picture of Lucius with what I can only say is his absolutely favoritest soccer coach to date, Max! After the first day of soccer practice with coach max I asked Lucius how it went. Lucius said "Mom! He said we were awful!!". I thought that an odd statement to make so excitedly. But Lucius was thrilled, he went on to say "He yelled at us and said we were horrible but said that was a good thing because we could get better!". Lucius actually really loved coach Max's yelling style and the way he held the kids accountable. Lucius loved being coached by a really competitive person and how Max pushed all the kids to be better and give more of themselves on the field. After I saw the coach in action, it totally all made sense.

More Summer adventures...
One of the things the boys really wanted to do this summer was to go back to the castle playground. So one day we had a friend over and we went! They don't always love stopping to take pictures, but believe me that they were enjoying themselves. That is until they both got hungry, even with my huge bag of snacks. We left, grabbed a pizza and stopped to eat it at a different, much smaller playground.
They also wanted to visit a mansion. Since we had free tickets to go back to the Swedish American institute, I took them there. The best part was they had an exhibit on the vikings on display there. It was super interesting. The kiddos are at an age where they actually stop to read about all the items, Oliver more than Lucius, but Lucius enjoyed it when I read them out loud for him to listen to to learn about the vikings!
Our summer was spent mostly at playgrounds, beaches and pools. Not that anyone was complaining. If the kiddos could live in a pool swimming their lives away I'm sure there would never be a lack of smiles.
Oh and a Starbucks in the hands... there were lots of smoothie and dragonfruit drinks had this summer as well.

New Paddleboard...
So I bought myself a new paddleboard this summer and as soon as it came, Oliver no longer had any interest in using his to join me out on the water. I did manage to convince him to join me a few times and we had a blast just the two of us. It was so worth it and I hope I can get out on it more often next summer!

Gee Whiz!! It's the end of June... I know.
So turns out I can't do everything, surprising I know. Blogging I love but when I can't get the photos off my phone to my computer because I have to buy new software, well- it's a problem.
I want to be back up and running soon and I hope to fill you in on all that's been going on in our life right now- cause it's a LOT. Scroll down and view some newer posts... I've posted at least two new posts that happened in March so I scheduled them to publish with those dates. Confusing I know...

New bedroom Art Piece...
Using up extra spray paint from his refinished dresser to create a new
art piece for his room (if we ever get the room finished!). It went together very quickly and was dry the same evening we painted it. What a fun project we got to work on together!

A "boring" adventure...
I had heard about a historical small town in Lakeville, MN that was having a free family day. I decided I wanted to take the kids to see it, could be a fun adventure. Of course once they heard where we were going they announced that it was going to be "super boring" and they did not want to go. I was not going to let them ruin what could be a fun day so we were off! Daddy is super smart and while he still had to work he did text me and suggest that we stop to get donuts to make the boys happier. Great idea. We did and they started to perk up a bit. By the time we arrived they were actually starting to get a little excited to explore the small little old town.
We explored all the building, played with a super fun hoops and stick game & then the boys got to try their hand at old time laundry!
Super fun day spent exploring the Dakota City Heritage Village!

First Day of Summer...
First day of summer vacation and it just happens to be national donut
day! No photos of donuts but these two have had several free donuts
already this morning! Happy Summer!! They even choice to buy matching shirts today too.
First day of summer break = an afternoon at the beach!!
What a better way to finish off the first day of summer than roller skating before bed!

Garage Sale...
We had a garage Sale just before Mormor and Morfar sold us their house. Mormor really did an amazing job downsizing and letting things go. She fills the garage with things she did not need in their new smaller house.
Oliver as always was thrilled to help host the garage sale and even made a few signs to help his future customers out. Gosh I love this kid!
