Ring around the rosy
I don't think we've really played this game ever.
But Oliver knew just what to do the moment I started singing.
He was making himself so dizzy.
I think we played it for about 15 minutes tonight before bed.
(I don't know that you can hear it so I should probably not mention the fact that when he stops in the middle of the video, he's tooting- which made Jerimy and I laugh.)

fun filled afternoon
We called Mormor who showed up to hang out when we realized the twins (my cousins) were playing softball in the fields right off the playground. Mormor brought chairs and we watched for awhile. Oliver was up, then down, then up again to cuddle with Mormor.
Great Auntie Melanie was there, what a hoot & a half. She's so silly, makes Oliver laugh so hard.
More teeth
I was playing with Oliver last night, he was upside down laughing hysterically and his mouth was wide open. I got a good view of all his teeth and noticed that there was a purple spot on his upper gum. From what I've been reading it might be something quite common for teething toddlers. I'll keep an eye on it none the less.
He continued hanging out upside down, so I thought I'd just see if there were any other teeth we could expect soon. YUP, there they were: three teeth just poking their sharp top ridges thru the gum. Two flanking either side of the top four front teeth and one molar, opposite the one on the lower right that popped thru a couple weeks ago.

3 more teeth makes twelve!

Finger Painting
Okay, so this was last minute and might not be ideal, but Oliver did a little finger painting today.

I had reddi wip in the fridge and used a tiny bit of food coloring.
If anyone else knows a better solution, please let me know.

It didn't last very long, maybe 5 minutes or so. Interestingly enough he didn't eat as much of it as I thought he would. I think it's about time to look for an art smock.

Easter Gifts
Here a couple of our favorite Easter gifts this year:
Oliver got a pair of Pigeon Pajamas and the wonderful new book "The Emperor of Absurdia" by Chris Riddell. Its a fanciful dream adventure book, and has quickly become Daddy's new favorite to read to Oliver. I read it the other night and Oliver laughed so hard when I said "squawk" like the pointy bird that we continued to just squawk thru the rest of the book.
A Huge Thank you goes out to the grandmas for their awesome gift choices!
And just because I know you'd love to see some action films- enjoy!
Lions and Tigers and - What no bears?
Sorry sweetie, the bears are all on vacation.
We were watching the monkeys swing and run around. Ogled as the seals swam laps. Walked, and walked, and walked some more.

Easter weekend
We spent the weekend at Oma and Opa's house. Lucky for us, it was beautiful weather outside so we could go on a few walks. Oliver walked a lot, got carried a while, and had a nice picnic for one in the great outdoors.
Know what else is fun in the Great outdoors??
No, not the typical Easter Egg Hunt, in fact there weren't any eggs to find on our outing (maybe next year). Nope, I mean that Opa has a four wheeler. Daddy loves to drive it around, but I think Opa (or Daddy) needs to find a melon protector for Oliver before we go off roading.
(It wasn't a very long ride, neither was it very fast.)

the Money shot
Afterwards, Oliver had a Doctors appointment...
Just his 15 month well check visit. In case you were wondering, he's growing just fine and is a SUPER healthy kid.

A evening at the Park
We went to the park with Daddy- who went to play tennis.
It was a little colder than I first thought,
but Oliver was prepared.
We walked all the way around the lake bundled up in the "Bob" stroller, we explored the tunnels and slides at the playground. Mostly Oliver crunched leaves and stumbled around the park walkways, while I tried to keep up.
We're super excited that it's getting nice out enough to be outside for longer periods of time.
(from the photos- you'd think it was fall instead of spring)

Sunday Date Afternoon
It was fun just getting out of the house and walking around town. We went to a brick oven (which are my favorite kind of pizzas) build your own pizza place. Oliver helped us polish off a few pizzas, yummy.
